I’m not the first to build one of these. My design is neater than some other variants. The excessive buttons could have been redesigned better but its small, and has more functionality than an OpenSpot device except for the Speaker. It works and I’m going to share below how I managed to shoe-horn all the components in the small case, then the modifications I had to perform because I didn’t take into account the heat generated internally.

Well, it happened, it got knocked off the desk and broke the Nextion mountings. It still works though! So another video will come soon to repair it. I have removed the 4G/LTE router temporarily as I am trying to find an alternative mobile phone network with good coverage but cheap data-only. It was originally just DMR but since I am rebuilding my other all-in-one MMDVMs unit, I added D-Star and YSF functionality with unlinking options. That’s the advantage of having a duplexer MMDVM, you can transmit to it to disconnect the current session whilst it is transmitting the current connected session.
